Best Dog For Life

Bad Dogs to Best Friends

RAMBO & COCO

“I highly recommend working with Donna. Her passion for dogs, intuitive approach, enthusiasm, disciplined and upbeat nature makes class engaging and enjoyable. She has a tremendous depth of knowledge with training and behavioral situations. She teaches so much more than just Sit and Stay. She educates owners about their dog needs and teaches proper dog ownership with a pack mentality.

We have a Siberian husky who was unmanageable, banned from multiple kennels before meeting Donna. I’ve been through 4 different trainers and finally got results with her. She fixed him, implemented a pack mentality to have him respect us and found his purpose as a working dog.

We also have a golden doodle named Coco who is working with her too and learned everything very quickly. There are many new challenges working with these two dogs and Donna makes it fun and solvable. With Coco, She has helped from the early puppy stages through adult level training class. She even worked to remedy unwanted doggy behavior at home and have our dogs unlearn old bad patterns. Our dogs are happy now and exercised well.

Donna is an amazing person, very intelligent, super fit, independent and caring! She is also a great communicator, extremely committed to her sessions and follow ups with videos and notes throughout training, always open to learn new techniques, different ways to teach dogs and specific ways to train certain breeds according to their personality and energy levels. The best trait of hers is her ability to always find new and different solutions to any common or unique problem that might arise with your dog. We consider her family now and never been happier with training our dogs! It’s a pleasure to work with her and I look forward to our sessions. The only thing you will regret is not having more time with her!”

WINNIE

“Winnie is a very high energy pup who was giving us a really hard time on our walks. We couldn’t go anywhere without her pulling on her leash, going after bikes, lunging at squirrels, people, pretty much anything that moved! Donna gave us the necessary tools and helped train us and our pup...Winnie is doing so much better! Walks are no longer stressful and peace is restored to our home!”

MOLLY, COOPER, and ELEANOR

“Our dogs were incessantly barking and charging the front door when people came to our home.. and then would continue by swarming around them while jumping up on them.

After Best Dog For Life Training with Donna, they now bark a few times, but will stop when I ask them. They no longer swarm and jump on our guests, nor do they bark, snarl and  charge at other dogs while on our walks.

Donna taught me how to correctly use the leash and with the addition of their backpacks, we have almost completely eliminated that behavior. If it arises the behavior is quickly corrected. I can walk all three of my dogs together now and was able to stop and talk to a neighbor with her dog for the first time, while my dogs sat obediently!”

SCRUFFY

“I called Donna because I had a problem when I was taking off Scruffy’s leash. He would snap at me sometimes when I would try to do that. So that was a problem. I can’t have a biting dog. Otherwise he’s so affectionate. But he can be very stubborn.

Scruffy (Wire Haired Terrier, age 11)

“I thought he was much improved when people come in to visit. He used to bark nonstop. But it was much improved the other day. And while walking on the leash, Scruffy just kept walking and ignored another dog. That was much better because he used to carry on with so much aggressive barking.”
